Electric DeLorean DMCEV

Stories about the Electric DeLorean have been running around social media and some online magazines so we thought we would get the best pictures for you to drool over!  The hunt led us to Kevin McCauley...he actually drove the beautiful beast on a track at the International DeLorean Owners Event in Houston, Texas.  The event was in fact used to promote DMC's vision of the future with DMCEV.

The not quite finished prototype, version 0.9, comes with an integrated iPhone dock, Momo steering wheel, and a hinged grille on the front end of the car that gives access to the charging port.  With a 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds and testing range of 70 miles, or a potential of 100 miles if driven efficitenly, the DMCEV is what dreams are made of!  The electric powertrain was developed by a company called Flux Power in California...the same guys behind the Aptera.

We will let the pics tell the rest of the story but if you want to know more about the man who was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time head on over to Distraction Control...thanks Kevin!
